Imphal, June 10 2015 :
The proscribed RPF on Wednesday claimed that the personnel of Army who launched a strike on an 'OP Mobile Camp' of the outfit's armed wing PLA located on the fringe of Ukhrul district bordering Myanmar were repelled from the area on June 9 .
A statement by the outfit's secretary publicity Roben Khuman also claimed that the security forces who were launching an offensive at the PLA's Mobile Camp around 7 am retreated when its cadres swiftly responded to the attack.
The IOF personnel fled the encounter site with most of them dropping magazines filled with full of bullets to the ground, it added.

Khuman said the troops failed to inflict casualties on the PLA cadres during the exchange of fire, but blood stains were found on the way when the cadres scoured the area shortly after the incident.
But it cannot be ascertained whether the blood was from the IOF personnel, the outfit said.
Recounting the June 4 attack on 6 Dogra Regiment in Chandel district, the statement made it clear that the strike by IOF on June 9 was on the PLA's Mobile Camp.
The news reports on TVs, radio and newspapers about IOF's claim of eliminating underground cadres who had killed personnel of 6 Dogra Regiment were a ploy to mislead the people because these reports were erroneous and that such claims have shown loopholes inside the intelligence network of IOF, it said.
"The top officials of IOF who are claiming themselves to be capable of launching cross-border strike have failed to tell the truth and hence they have misled the Indian people.
They are indulging in cheap and false propaganda," it accused.
