Imphal, October 12 2023:
The complete lack of empathy and condemnation on the part of the ten Kuki MLAS towards the brutal killing of students Phijam Hemanjit and Hijam Linthoingambi clearly indicates the MLAs support Kuki narco-terrorists, alleged RPI (Athawale) national secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam.
He made the statement to the media after meeting with the JAC formed in connection with the killing of students Luwangbi (Linthoingambi) and Hemanjit and their respective families on Thursday.
Maheshwar strongly condemned the barbaric killing of the two unarmed students, while remarking that absence of condemnation on the part of the ten Kuki MLAs against the atrocities committed by the Kuki terrorists shows their support as well as the guilt to all Kuki-Zo people.
He then informed that he has submitted memorandums to different central leaders to recover the bodies of the two students as well as ensure justice is served in the case.
Recounting his meeting with security advisor Kuldiep Singh on Wednesday, Maheshwar conveyed that the security advisor assured to recover the bodies of the students as soon as possible.
He (Maheshwar) also urged for stringent punishment of all those arrested in the killing of the two students to pacify the anger and sorrow of the family and the people of the state, failing which the people would be compelled to raise their voices again leading to occurrence of unwanted incidents.
