Shillang Loumee Lup holds conference

Imphal, October 12 2023: Shillang Loumee Lup convened its 5th State conference on Thursday at Irawat Bhawan, BT Road, here and adopted several resolutions including increasing number of manday under MGNREGA in a financial year from 100 days to 200 days.

Other resolutions include demand for resolving the present crisis and ensuring return of displaced people who are currently taking refuge in the relief camps to their respective homes, hiking of Job Card wage to Rs 600, pension provision for Shillang Loumee who have crossed 60 years and launching agitation for ensuring implementation of the proposed pension scheme.

The conference later formed an 11-member state council with Kh Ibobi as president, N Jatiswar as secretary and Y Mad-huchandra as treasurer.
