Tributes mark foundation anniversaries

Imphal, May 02 2024: Theatre Mirror, Imphal celebrated its 59th foundation day at Haobam Marak Thingel Ngangom Leikai on Wednesday.

During the celebration, Theatre Mirror director Wareppa Khangemba led the gathering in offering floral tributes to portraits of founder, renowned theatre personality Padmashree Naba Wareppa and others.

A two-minute silence was also observed on the occasion as a mark of respect.

The function Was attended by Khoriphaba Artistes' Association theatre director Khoisnam Ranbir as chief guest and Theatre Mirror former senior artiste Ningthouja Jayvidya as president, while Manipur Theatre Academy, Wangoi theatre director Sarungbam Biren and North Eastern Theatre Association (NETA) Heingang theatre director Senjam Nimai were the guests of honour.

On the other hand, All Manipur PWD Contractors' Association organised its 17th foundation day along with May Day, at Hotel Phou-Oi-Bee, North AOC on Wednesday with Association president L Guni, vice president L Debeshwor, ex-president L Ibomcha Khuman, and All Tribal Contractors' Association president LS Asbeli as presidium members.

As part of the celebration, floral tributes were offered to the portraits of Association's departed founders, members and registered contractors, in addition to honouring all labourers/workers on occasion of May Day.
