AAMSU lays stress on improving quality edn in Manipuri medium schools

The All Assam Manipuri Students' Union (AAMSU) Lakhipur district committee organised a one-day workshop on "issues faced by the Manipuri people of Assam and the challenges that lie ahead in the future for the community" at Lakhipur on Sunday.
At the workshop, a formal discussion meeting was held where various dignitaries, teachers and the members of AAMSU shared their views on the said topic.
The formal meeting was presided over by the president of AAMSU Lakhipur district committee, Y Molina Devi and Th Krishna Mohan Singha, retired school inspector graced the occasion as chief guest.
The president of All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Naresh Thiyam graced the occasion as guest of honor and the president of AAMSU central committee, Seram Herajit Singha and L Manimohan Singha were present as the special invitees of the workshop.
Advisor of AAMSU, Y Ramkumar Singha told the Eastern Chronicle that they will also organise the said workshop in four blocks of Lakhipur.
He added that our move is continuing until we get an appropriate result.
While addressing the gathering, Naresh Thiyam said that all the topic of the workshop is in connection with education.
"AMSU will also provide necessary support to the AAMSU" He added.
Meanwhile, Seram Herajit Singha said that this workshop is not concluded here.
The said workshop will be also organise in various district included Hailakandi, Sonai , Hojai and many others.
He also informed to eastern chronicle that the AAMSU central committee will be organised a conclusion workshop cum seminar after the finished of the workshop in various district.
Meanwhile AAMSU Hailaandi district committee organised a science exhibition at Sanarei Metei High School at Lala on Saturday.
The science exhibition was inaugurated by the former teacher Naureya Amusana.
The students of class I to X of various schools of the district put on display more than 22 models at the science exhibition.
Models on remote control blinking light, alluvial soil is the best soil for harvest, electric bell, prism models, Kaleidoscope, thermometer, conservation of rain water, and various drawing pages included kidney, carbon cycle attracted the visitors.
After the display of the models, an open session meeting was held which was presided over by the president of AAMSU central committee, Seram Herajit Singha.
Naureya Amusana graced the occasion as chief guest and K.Chandrasekhar Singha as guest of honour.
While addressing the gathering, Seram Herajit Singha said this is the first science exhibition organised by AAMSU.
He added that the exhibition will provide brief idea to the students present here about an exhibition and practical knowledge about what they studied.
Meanwhile, the prizes were distributed to the winners which divided into three sections LP level, M.E level and High School level categories.
In the LP School level, Niha Sharma, Shyamal Singha and Pritam Singha jointly bagged the first position.
The 2nd and 3rd prizes were secured by the Siloja Singha and Sabita Singha.
At the M.E level, Kinan Devi, Snigdha Sharma, Ch.
Bebita Singha and L.Leiktombi Devi jointly bagged the first position and the 2nd position was secured by Khuman Arjit and Pukharambam Manglemba.
.LAbishek Singha, M.Panthoisan Singha, M.Korauhanba Singha and S.Nelson Singha jointly won the third prize.
At the High School level, K.Randita Devi, L.Susmita Devi, M.Kaujenleima and L.Lamdaleima jointly secured the first position.
Seram Borjit, Salam Amit and H.Roshan jointly bagged the second position and third position was secured by the Houbam Bikendra.
All the winners were given cash awards.
