Manipuri students to participate in JENESYS 2.0 at Japan

Imphal, November 29 2014 :
A team of eight delegates of the Centre For Japanese Language Studies of Nongmeibung Bazar will be leaving for Japan on December 1 to participate in the JENESYS 2.0, which is a program under Japan East-Asia Network of Exchange for Students' and Youths' launched by the Prime Minster of Japan, Shinzo Abe with the aim of providing a sound foundation for strong solidarity within Asia through large-scale youth exchange.
The Invitation Program that will take place in Tokyo and other cities throughout Japan for a duration of about 10 days, welcoming young generation from other countries mostly from SAARC countries in which participants may learn about strengths, allures and values of Japan through various activities, such as observing cutting-edge technologies, visiting historic and scenic sites, observing local industries, and experiencing traditional cultures and subcultures.
In addition, the participants will intermingle with Japanese citizens in school exchanges and homestay, creating a chance to develop trust and friendship with each other.
In the press release issued today, the delegate that comprise of a Junior Teacher along with seven students of the said institute will represent India in the event that will be taken part by 56 students and eight teachers.The notified list of the delegates include Th Rokiyo, I Gunnathoiba, N Chetan, Th Premkumar, Essille Heisnam, Binita Ayekpam, Kh Geeta and N Debarani.
