CM should summon CSOs for unanimity: AMUCO

Imphal East District United Clubs' Organisation (IEDUCO) and SEUCO jointly organised a special discussion on 'Present Issue of Manipur' under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) at Kongba Kshetri Leikai community hall np.
2 on Monday.
Speaking as chief guest of the discussion programme, AMUCO president Ph Nando Luwang with reference to CM N Biren's recent statement regarding presence of too many CSOs in the state, confided that after the viewpoint has been acknowledged AMUCO proposes that the government of Manipur summon/invite all the CSOs to come up with a unanimous resolution to teach a lesson to all those who want to disintegrate Manipur, provided both the central and state governments are sincere about upholding the interests of the people of the state.
He continued that everyone needs to work together amid the prevailing situation or else temporary disagreements/differences would serve as an opportunity for the enemies.
Of the many things to be done, the ones with the highest priority should be considered first to ensure success.
Otherwise, working on personal interests would only lead the masses to turn on each other, he remarked.
Stating that the enemies' agenda is to see us disintegrate from within, he urged for remembering the various agents of the central government who are scheming for the same.
We should consider all aspects or opinions to ensure the issue is not diverted.
AMUCO wants to work and cooperate with all concerned, he said, while adding that the doors of the Committee are always open in this regard.
Further stating that AMUCO is not narrow minded and has never raised any objection to any organisation/body working in the interest of the state, Nando continued that AMUCO has not misled or hurt the sentiments of the people.
The Committee has always consulted the people and meticulous study any issue before taking any decision, so as to prevent any mistakes.
The Committee accepts all public suggestions and is still standing by its objective to work for the welfare of Manipur, he asserted.
Presided over by IEDUCO president T Dwijo Mangang, the discussion programme was attended by Porei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur president L Memchoubi, Youth Guidance Club president Laishram Bipin, Naharol Lamjing Meira president Ksh Sanahal and AMOWOVA president Y Kunjarani as guests of honour, while DMU associate professor Arambam Noni participated as resource person.
