Govt working to restore peace and normalcy: Dingo

Social Welfare minister Heikham Dingo, in association with Imphal West district commissioner, provided one-time financial assistance to the inmates of relief camp opened at Khurkhul Leirijao Upper Primary School under Sekmai assembly constituency, on Monday.
According to minister Dingo, of the 5300 displaced people living in relief camps in Imphal West district, a total of 2600 people are staying in relief camps opened in Sekmai assembly constituency.
He further informed that the government is trying its best to ensure that the inmates have no problems in addition to trying to bring back peace and normalcy in the state.
The inmates of the relief camp at Sardar Patel Scheduled Caste Boys Hostel have already been provided with the financial assistance.
The function was also attended by Lamsang SDO, Sekmai SDC, Lamsang SDC and Salam SDC in addition to staff of the deputy commissioner's office.
