Imphal, April 27 2015 : One day consultation on climate change and its response by the Government of Manipur was held at Manipur Press Club.

It was jointly organised by North East Dialogue Forum (NEDF), Peoples' Platform Secretariat (PPS), People Action for Development (PAD); Social Action Committee (SAC); Advance Technical Farmers Club (ATFC), etc on Monday here.

Addressing the gathering, NEDF Secretary U Nobokishore urged the State Government to clear proposal for the implementation of Manipur State Action Plan on climate change in the field of Agriculture and its allied fields like animal husbandry and fishery and demanded to well define on budget for the climate crisis management including adaption.

Nobokishore appealed to the Government to clear action plan in the climate adaptation plans like wheat; millet, etc can be grown after the harvesting of paddy and demanded distribution of seeds to the farmers in time.

NEDF Member Ch Norendro, NEDF member Irom Pratap and VWCOC Vice President W Prava were in the dais.
