AR conducts social work, construction

35 Assam Rifles (AR) of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) constructed a waiting shed at remote village of Phuba Khuman of Senapati district under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.
The newly constructed waiting shed was presented to the villagers, said a press note from AR.
This gesture has been greatly appreciated by the villagers.
Toilet blocks: 32 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR constructed four toilet blocks at village Aibol Joupi in Chandel district under 'Op Sadbhavana' Programme.
In an endeavour of development in the remotely situated village Aibol Joupi, as per request received from the villagers, four toilet blocks have been constructed in the village by the Assam Rifles.
Medical camp: 6 DOGRA of 26 Sector AR organised a medical camp at Phaisanjang under 'Op Sadbhavana' programme.
The medical team of the Unit led by Medical Officer conducted the health checkup for the villagers and distributed free medicines.
A lecture was also delivered by the Medical Officer on basic health and hygiene, in which causes and preventive measures to common diseases were highlighted.
The event was a grand success and 327 patients from Phaisanjang and surrounding villages were benefitted, said the press release.
Assistance provided: 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) presented books, computer, its accessories and other essential items to Recruit Training Node, Ukhrul under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme being run at 41 Assam Rifles at Ukhrul.
The aim of the Recruit Training Node is to increase the awareness about recruitment and provide the capable youth with an opportunity to join hands in Nation Building, said the press release.
