35 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) constructed a waiting shed at Phuba Khuman in Senapati district under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.
The newly constructed waiting shed has been inaugurated recently, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
In another endeavour, the press release said, 32 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) constructed four toilet blocks at Aibol Joupi village in Chandel district under 'Ops Sadbhavana' programme.
The toilet blocks were constructed with an objective to bring development in the interior village.
On the other hand, 6 DOGRA of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Phaisanjang village under 'Ops Sadbhavana' programme.
The medical team of the Unit led by the Medical Officer conducted the health camp for the interior villagers and distributed free medicines.
A lecture was also delivered by the Medical Officer on basic health and hygiene.
Around 327 patients from Phaisanjang and surrounding villages were benefited by the camp, added the press release.
Meanwhile, 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) presented books, computer, its accessories and other essential items to Recruit Training Node, Ukhrul under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.
The aim of the Recruit Training Node is to increase the awareness about recruitment and provide the capable youth with an opportunity to join hands in the nation building.
