Imphal, March 01 2015:
The Manipur unit of JD-U on Sunday said the Manipur Manipur Government should not use the All Political Party as a mere tool, which is against the will of the people.
Flanked by Manipur Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders at a press meet at party office, State JD-U president M Tombi further expressed his concern about the proposed Bill seeking implementation of Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) in the State.
He said, "The people have waited nine months.
The failure of the Manipur Government to introduce the ILP Bill in the ongoing State Assembly session would destroy the trust and confidence of the general public" .
The JD-U chief said the Manipur Government should not use the All Political Party as a mere tool, which is against the will of the people.
He said dignity of life is meaningless if people's aspiration is not met by the Government, describing the alleged insincere attitude of the Government as 'unfortunate' .
Tombi called upon the legislators to introduce the ILP Bill in the House.
State AAP convenor Th Manihar said the people have the trust that the All Political Party ILP Committee will fulfil its responsibility.
He said AAP and JD-U will join the people in launching any future agitation over the issue.
Manihar , however, said he hoped that the State Government would introduce the ILP Bill in the current State Assembly session.
