AMMGNREGADSA submits memo to PM

A memorandum was submitted by the All Manipur MG-NREGA Dedicated Staffs Association through the President of BJP, Thounaojam Chaoba on behalf of the contract employees working for the implementation of MG-NREGA within the State of Manipur to direct the state authorities for the regularization of its staff for the smooth implementation of the scheme.
In the memorandum that was submitted today, the association expressed that despite the implementation of Manipur Services Revised Pay Rules of 2010 in pursuance of the recommendation of the 6th Pay Commission report of the Under-Secretary of Finance of the Government of Manipur, these teachers who were appointed on contract-basis in the year 2009 have not been regularized or considered for a revised pay scale till date.
The association claimed that these teachers who were appointed for the post of Work Manager, Technical Assistant, IT Manager, Computer Assistant and Coordinator have paid a meager amount of Rs 4500 each while Rs 8000 is specified as per the revised scale of 6th Pay Commission to the regular employees under this scheme.
On the other hand, those holding the post of Training Coordinator and Gram Rojgar Sewak have been given Rs 5500 and Rs 4000 while the reviewed scale of pay required that an amount of Rs 13,600 and Rs 7600 will be entertained to these posts respectively as remuneration to the regular employees under the mentioned Scheme.
Further the association urged that the wages of the Job Card holders under this revised scale is Rs 126 to Rs 144 and Rs 159 to Rs 175, which have not been given any consideration till date.
Lastly the association observed that while implementing the Scheme, the members of the association have been taking a great role to ensure smooth operation under various hardships considering which the Prime Minster must resolve the issue, added the release.
