31st Guru Kirtana Seva concludes

Imphal, October 17 2024: The two days long "31st Guru Kirtana Seva (Festival of Nata Sankirtana)" organised by Gulapi Nata Sankirtana Academy, Kwakeithel Nganapi Thong Mapal, Imphal concluded today at the premises of the Academy.

The closing function was attended by Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) secretary Sunanda Thokchom, Sangeet Natak Awardee Arambam Tombinou Devi and Sangeet Natak Awardee Laipubam Bino Devi as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunanda Thokchom said that the MSKA has been working earnestly to safeguard and promote the indigenous culture and traditions of the State so that its legacy will be carried forth to coming generations for a strong and developed society.

She also called upon young students of Nata Sankirtana to disseminate the values and ideas of Nata Sankirtana by following the footsteps of their Gurus.

The event concluded with a performance of Nata Sankirtana by female artists of the academy.
