No new case for two days in row

Imphal, May 07 2022:
For the second consecutive day, the state reported no new positive case of Covid-19 on Saturday even though 117 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
The pandemic toll remains at 2120 as no fatality has been reported since later part of March though the virus has claimed the lives of 194 vaccinated people.
In the last 24 hours, one patient was discharged from home isolation and number of active cases came down to 7 out of which 2 (28.57 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,437 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The cumulative number of positive cases stands at 1,37,225 (general population - 1,32,211 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,098 (general population - 1,30,091 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 7 (general population) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
A total of 341 D-type and 15 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2462 vaccine doses administered on Friday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals to 15,59,426, including 12,09,142 who have received the second dose and 87,162 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48748), Imphal East (30445), Thoubal (10160), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), one discharged Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,223 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,676 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,19,018 tests per million population against the national average of 5,98,111 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and cumulative positivity rate 8.52 per cent.
