Imphal, December 23 2010:
The Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FREINDS) has claimed that the state government is not supplying adequate amounts of electricity in the state.
The ministers and officials of the state government have been claiming that they have provided electricity to many villages of the state but only wires have been provided and not Electric power.
A press release of the federation stated that other states in the north eastern India have adequate electric facility throughout the day.
On the one hand, the government is asking the unemployed youths of the state to take up small scale industries as a career instead of waiting for government jobs, But they seem to be unaware of the fact, that any industry whether big or small relies on electricity.
The leaders of the state should be aware that a machine cannot be run by a candle.
The release further stated that, instead of waiting for the due taxes of electricity to be paid, the concerned Authorities should discuss about the matter and try to put it into the annual budget of the government.
People are generally willing to pay their electricity bills, if only they could get a regular supply of electricity.
But unfortunately the people of the state are not getting sufficient amounts of power supply.
