Stage set for vote count in ADCs

Counting of vote for the ADC election 2015 held on June 1 will start at 8 am Wednesday and for this all preparations and security arrangements have already been made.
The vote counting will be done at the respective district headquarters of Ukhrul, Chandel, Senapati, Tamenglong and Churachandpur districts and Kangpokpi ADC office for Sadar Hills ADC.
To avoid violence and any other unwanted incidents during the process, the district administrations have imposed CrPC 144 in and around the vote counting centres.
Moreover, State police and Central paramilitary forces have beefed up security in important areas, said a source from the State Election Commission.
It may be mentioned that the Commission had also conducted re-polls for 74 polling stations on June 4 and 6 after some anti-social elements disrupted the polling process on June 1 .
There have been several other complaints from many political parties and candidates against mismanagement of the election process in different places of the six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) .
A petition has also been filed in the Manipur High Court to withhold counting of vote for those particular polling stations where polling was badly managed.
The total number of candidates in the ADC polls is 495�120 are from BJP, 91 from INC, 82 from NPF, 191 (Independents),four from JD (U) and six from Lok Janshakti Party.
