Nongpoknganba Youth Development Association has appealed to the State Government to provide every possible aid in finding the whereabouts of one Nongmaithem Ibocha (58) s/o (L) Kanhai from Hierok part 3 Laishram Leikai who went missing from Namphalong, a part of Myanmar which borders Moreh, on March 24 .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the secretary of the Association, Laishram Kishan said, "Nongmaithem Ibocha is a simple man who deals in fish to feed his family.
He vanished on March 24 after having lunch at a hotel in Namphalong and had around Rs 40000 on his person".
He pointed out that a case was registered at Moreh police and the Indian Immigrant Officer at Moreh had sent word to Myanmar Tamu DC.
"We are still waiting for an official response from their side but as more time passes we are fearing the worst", he added appealing to the State Government to take up necessary measures to find the missing individual.
He also appealed to all the civil societies at Moreh to offer their support in finding Ibocha.
