Imphal, April 03 2017:
The All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) has appealed to the State Government to take up necessary action against Parliamentary secretary (MOBC) Manipur Ashab Uddin, Principal Secretary (FD), Govt of India, Vineet Joshi and Deputy Secretary (FD) Govt of Manipur Mercina R Panmei for lapses of funds meant for the poor and backward minorities and OBCs of the State.
A press release issued today by the president of the organisation stated that no fund was release for the Financial year 2016-17 by the MOBC Department as all were lapsed.
It alleged that Ashab Uddin had directed the Principal Secretary (FD) to stop all fund release and demanded his PA be contacted for every action regarding fund release by the MOBC Department.Vineet Joshi had also directed officers of FD including Mercina R Panmei for immediate compliance after which all related files were cleared on March 31, 2017 with the MOBC Department issuing sanction order at around 8 pm the same day and the bills were presented to the Treasury officer between 8.30 to 11 pm, it added.
The organisation stated that under such circumstances, the MOBC Department, Manipur Haj Committee, OBC Commission, Wakf Board and MOBEDS etc would be paralysed as many of their activities are time bound like Haj arranged by the Manipur State Haj Committee.
The organisation appeal to the Chief Minister to take up appropriate action against those concerned including Ashab Uddin, Vineet Joshi and Mercina R Panmei for violating the rights and privileges of the minorities and OBCs of the State at their own whims and fancy, it added.
