Imphal, April 03 2017:
In order to improve the education system in the State, more importance will be given to education sector by providing quality infrastructure and other facilities.
This was stated by Education Minister Th Radheshyam during the felicitation programme organised by Federation of Government College Teachers' Association, Manipur for Education Minister Th Radheshyam and Parliamentary Secretary K Robindro.

Th Radheshyam said, "It is very essential to improve the education sector.
However, instead of setting up a library which is a must, constructing a swimming pool inside a college or school campus will not help the students to excel academically" .
He also said that the State Government along with the Departments concerned will take up appropriate steps to solve the issues faced by the teachers.
The felicitation programme was also attended by Sarangjit Khundrakpam, Principal, DM College of Arts and M Govind, acting president, Federation of Government College Teachers' Association, Manipur.
