Imphal, June 09: Two women were killed in two separate road accidents while ten more including two women were injured in the mishaps.

One woman travelling in an auto-rickshaw was killed while another nine persons including two women travelling in a Tata Magic were injured when the two vehicles collided today at about 11.45 am at Tronglaobi under Moirang police station.

The woman who died at the spot has been identified as Soram ongbi Tombi (58) wife of late S Leibakmacha of Langthabal Kunja.

In another incident one woman was killed when a BRTF Tata in which she was travelling met with an accident at Gwaltabi under Litan police station today about 1 pm.

The deceased woman is identified as Timkhokim (45) wife of Seithang of Mongneijang village.

The driver of the truck identified as J Sharma was injured in the accident.

The body of the woman has been deposited at RIMS morgue while the driver has been admitted to JN hospital, said sources today.

Son stabs mother, sister : In a bizarre incident a mentally deranged person stabbed his mother and younger sister today at about 7 pm at Ragailong Pandon where they are presently staying.

The mother identified as Waribam Sumati (60) was stabbed on the back while the sister W Tombinou (20) was stabbed on the stomach.

The attacker is identified as Tondon (24).The mother and daughter have been admitted to RIMS where their conditions are stated to be critical.

The son is still absconding, said police sources today evening.
