The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA), Imphal-Manipur has stated that all private schools of the State will resume normal classes from July 23 .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, secretary of AMRPSWA, L Joy Khuman said that as per the resolution adopted in the Association's meeting on July 18, private schools will remain closed till July 22 to show compliance to the appeals of the JAC formed in connection with the death of S Robinhood.
The private schools will reopen from July 23 .
Joy said that the students would attend classes by wearing black badges and all schools should observe a one-minute silence to show respect to the late Robinhood before the resumption of classes.
The students should also shout two slogans demanding immediate implementation of ILPS in Manipur and punishment to personnel involved in the killing of Robinhood, Joy Khuman said.
He urged all individuals concerned of the State to extend cooperation to the Association's decision for resumption of normal classes in the interest of the students' community.
The Association also urged the Govt to bring a solution to the issue.
Asserting that the Association's decisions are not against the demand to implement ILPS in the State, the AMRPSWA general secretary said the decisions are taken in the larger interest of the students as well as in the interest of the State.
