7,500 doses marked for 18-44 age group

Imphal, May 13 2021:
To roll out COVID-19 vaccination for age group 18-44 years in Manipur, the Directorate of Family Welfare Services has allocated a total of 7,500 doses.
The allocated vaccine doses for each district are as follows; Imphal West-900 doses, Imphal East-900 doses, Thoubal-600 doses, Bishnupur-600 doses, Kakching-600 doses, Ukhrul-600 doses, Churachandpur-600 doses, Jiribam-300 doses, Chandel-300 doses, Tengnoupal-300 doses, Kamjong-300 doses, Senapati-300 doses, Kangpokpi-300 doses, Tamenglong-300 doses, Noney-300 doses, Pherzawl-300 doses.
In a memorandum issued today, the Directorate of Family Welfare Services said the District family Welfare Officers (DFWOs) and District Immunization Officers (DIOs) should collect the vaccine immediately and also maintain separate vaccine stock particularly the vaccine issued for the age group 18-44 years.
The memorandum, however, did not mention when the vaccination for the 18-44 years will begin.
