Jiribam, August 02: The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Barak Valley has appealed to the administration and NGOs of Tamenglong district to provide relief to the villages of Tousem sub-division which are reportedly on the verge of starvation due to attack by locusts on standing crops.

The worst affected villages are Chingkao, Makuai and Mpah of the Tousem sub-division.

This was informed by the affected villagers to ZSU, Barak Valley.

The Union, on its part, has appealed to all the people to help the villagers on humanitarian ground.

USUKV objects: United Students' Union, Kadi village, Tamei has raised strong objection to the Draft Delimitation proposal which plans to divide Kadi village under two blocks��Kuilong block and Elleng block.
