Made in Ukhrul 2018: Multiple biz prospects stressed

Ukhrul, April 05 2018: The second edition of 'Made in Ukhrul 2018' kick-started today at the Indoor Stadium Bakshi Ground Dungrei, Ukhrul.

The two day Entrepre-neurship Conclave cum Trade Fair under the banner "Sustainable Ukhrul 2030" aims at encouraging and promoting the entrepreneurs in the district.

Moreover, the trade fair is providing a stage to showcase indigenous products and promote them.

Interacting with the entrepreneurs, resource persons at the event spoke about various ideas and insights on successful conduct of businesses.

Urging the entrepreneurs to continue to strive to achieve their goals, Saptappee Borah, CEO GNRC Hospital Guwahati, shared his own experiences and addressed the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the initial stages.

Karma Bhutia, CEO Ishippo.com emphasized on the multiple business prospects in order to promote upcoming local entrepreneurs.

The famous State flower Shirui Lily also has a business prospect, he said.

Bee keeping in the reserve forests for honey will generate substantial income for farmers/entrepreneurs.

Organic products attract more buyers, he said.

He further highlighted the importance of acquiring GI tags in marketing products all over the globe.

Project Manager UDCRMS/IFAD Tychicus Vashum encouraged the entrepreneurs to be sincere in their business activities in order to achieve their goals.

Varieties of locally manufactured products- chocolates, clothes, wood crafts, paintings, recycled products, candies etc were exhibited at the trade fair.

Over 78 local entrepreneurs are participating in the second edition of Made in Ukhrul 2018 organized by Hill Wild, Ukhrul.
