Imphal, August 05 2021: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Thangmeiband Mandal has urged Kh Joykisan, MLA of the Constituency, to explain on what ground he joined Congress and where the amount deducted from MLA Local Area Development Fund for Covid management has been utilized.

Briefing media persons at Thangmeiband, today, vice president of BJP, Thangmeiband Mandal Moirangthem Meghachandra claimed that there is disparity in money withdrawn from the MLADF and work done in the AC.

Further claiming that MLA also play favourites while distributing edibles to Covid Care Centre in Thangmeiband, he expressed desire for the MLA to treat everyone equally.

"Though Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced free PDS rice for beneficiaries till November in view of the COVID-19, rice was not distributed to people of the AC in July," he alleged and continued that people are confused whether the rice distributed in the early part of the August are for this month or July.

He then appealed to the MLA to distribute the subsidised rice regularly.
