While condemning the physical assault and looting of drivers and handymen of buses operating between Imphal and Senapati, and also town auto drivers by some unidentified gunmen on December 15 at Senapati town, Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) urged the concerned authority to initiate immediate action to book the culprits.
According to a press release, in the afternoon of the said day, two unidentified persons physically assaulted two Senapati town auto drivers and looted every penny from them when they were returning to the town after dropping their respective passengers on Phaibung road, 7 km from the district headquarters.
In the same night at around 1 am, four unidentified masked gunmen looted mobile phone and money from bus drivers and handymen at gun point after physically assaulting them.
SDSA urged the civil organisations and individuals to condemn the said two incidents.
