Paying rich tributes, 255th birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy, was observed under the aegis of Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, Manipur Branch at State Guest House here today.
Offering floral tributes to photograph of Dr Samuel Hahnemann was the main highlight of the observance.
Presided over by president of Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, Manipur Branch Dr M Nara Singh, the observance function was attended by head of paediatric department, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences Prof Dr Kh Chourjit Singh and Medical Superintendent of RIMS Dr Y Mohen as guests of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr Mohen observed that all those who are in medical profession should treat their patients with compassion and understanding.
Pointing out that the Homoeopathy and Allopathy, the two medical systems, sometimes mixed up at the time of prescribing medicines to the patients, Dr Mohen appealed to all concerned to avoid such medication.
In continuation of the observance, a technical session was held during which many resource persons presented papers on different topics related to Homoeopathy and its treatment.
