Reacting to news report published in some section of the press charging him of tendering apology to an underground organisation in connection with alleged discrepancies in disbursal of Pre Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Md Allauddin, who is also in charge of MOBC has categorically denied the charges as an attempt of political assassination.
Talking to mediapersons today, the Minister asserted that he had not met or talk with any UG group nor tender any apology.
There is also no discrepancy in the selection process or disbursal of Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship to students under MOBC, the Minister clarified.
In fact, selection of eligible students from private as well as Government schools for awarding Pre Matric and post-Matric Scholarship have already been announced and the cheque amount of the scholarships handed over through the respective head master and principal of the schools after necessary verification by the respective MLAs, the Minister said, adding that the NGOs and guardians of the students have also been appealed for monitoring the selection process.
The newspaper report had alleged that Minister Allauddin had gone to a place in South India and tendered his apology to a UG group in connection with certain lapses in distribution of the scholarships.
