The proscribed KCP has warned the general public against taking part in Republic Day or Independence Day celebrations in any part of Manipur so as to avoid undesirable consequences, conveyed a release issued by the outfit's chief project officer cum secretary, information and public relations department Ibungo Ngangom.
A special meeting of the party politburo was held recently at its general headquarters during which a 'Special Act' was unanimously passed.
The Act empowered all the party units to launch any kind of attack if the Republic Day (January 26) or Independence Day (August 15) is celebrated in any part of India.
The Act also empowered the party units to take up any kind of action against those individuals or groups who celebrate or take part in the Republic Day or Independence Day and for children below 16 years, their respective parents hall bear full responsibility for them, it warned.
