Imphal, July 29 2015:
Asserting that the closure of schools by the Government is akin to robbing the students their right to education, the Ibotonsana Girls' Higher Secondary School Students' Union has demanded the Government to open all educational institutes and enable the students to start attending schools.
In a statement, the student body warned that if the Government does not heed the call to re-open schools on time then different forms of agitation would be launched.
Deeply condoling the death of Sapam Robinhood who was killed in police action on July 8, the student body also demanded fitting punishment for all the police personnel who were involved in the killing of the student.
The Ibotonsana Girls' Higher Secondary School Students' Union further said that they have been extending all support to the agitation launched by the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System and added that they would continue to do so.
