Patriotic song competition held

In connection with its golden jubilee celebration, the All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) organised an open patriotic song competition at GM Hall today.
A total of 41 artists registered participated in the competition.
Speaking as the chief guest of the programme, former AMSU president Samom Budhi Singh, retired Associate Professor of DMC Science exuded confidence that the competition would infuse a sense of patriotism among the upcoming generations.
He also said that AMSU has a role and responsibility to overcome the issues confronting the State while expressing hope that the students' body would contribute its might towards this end.
Adviser of AMSU Hqtrs, Khomdram Ratan recounted the formation of the students' body in the backdrop of several compelling factors.
The programme was also attended by vice-president of AMSU Sanasam Subhachandra Singh as the president of the function.
