Myanmar delegates visit Shija Hospital

About 40 delegates from Myanmar led by U Hong Ngai, Chief Minister of Chin State, Myanmar visited Shija Hospital today at 9 am.
The delegates included Ministers and other Government and private officials from Chin division of Myanmar.
They were taken for a guided tour around the hospital to show the facilities available at Shija including NABH accredited Shija Blood Bank & Transfusion Services.
According to a statement, Dr Palin Kh, Consultant Plastic Surgery and Chairman cum Managing Director of SHRI expressed gratefulness for their visit and presented the past, present and future of the hospital and also highlighted the three phases of Mission Myanmar where a team of doctors from Shija Hospitals performed free surgery for cleft lip and palate, cataract and key hole surgeries at Monywa General Hospital of Sagaing division.

The camps were a triangular effort of Govt of Myanmar, Indian Consulate General, Mandalay and Shija Hospitals to enhance the goodwill between the two Nations.
He also informed the delegates about the recently concluded two months Shija overseas training programme for two general surgeons and six nurses of Monywa General Hospital in key hole surgery, operation theatre technology and critical care.
Shija has proposed to the Chief Minister of Chin the same free surgical camps in one of the hospitals in Chin division and also offered continuous training under Shija overseas training programme for surgeons, nurses and paramedics of Chin division.
They were also apprised of the upcoming facilities at the hospital such as cardiac science, renal and cornea transplantation, infertility treatment, cosmetic surgery etc.
They exchanged souvenirs during the conclusion of the visit at the Shija auditorium, the statement added.
