Imphal, June 09: Reacting to the charges levelled against him by assistant secretary information and publicity of PULF Anish Khan that he extorted a huge amount of money from the people in the name of the armed outfit, Khungbongmayum Japan has refuted the charges as baseless.

Talking to mediapersons at his Nongada Makha Leikai residence today, Japan demanded Anish Khan to prove the charges along with evidences and make it known to the public if there is any truth in the charges levelled against him.

As to the charges that he was a former activist of PLA but now working in KCP (MC), Japan said it was surprising to him.

So, Japan appealed to all concerned to come out with a clarification at the earliest possible to dispel confusion from the mind of the people.

Japan also denied having any knowledge about one Md Tabe alias Uti alias Reihanchodhury alias Jabarei alias Kalabajar of Kwaka with whom he had allegedly extorted money from the people of Imphal area in the name of PULF and said clarified that he does not know nor have any connection with any one by that name.
