Film critic RK Bidur remembered on birth anniversary

Manipur Film Journalists and Critics Association (MFJCA) celebrated the 82nd birth anniversary of prominent film critic Late RK Bidur at Maichou Taret Shanglen, Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak on Thursday.
It was attended by Wangkhei AC MLA, Thangjam Arunkumar; renowned film-maker Aribam Syam Sharma; Manipur Cultural Organisation president, Kangjam Radhakumar; MFJCA president, AC Netrajit; National Film Awardee, Dr Makhonmani Mongshaba and MFJCA former president, Manindra Konsam as presidium members.
As part of the event, a book titled "RK Bidur's Wakhal amasung Shaktam" written by AC Netrajit was released.
At the event, the dignitaries recalled the significant contributions made by prominent film critic RK Bidur towards the development of Manipuri Cinema.
They also recounted RK Bidur's remarkable literary works and maintained that the current and upcoming generations should follow the footsteps of this notable personality.
Moreover, the 84th birth anniversary of Padmashri Wareppa Naba was observed at Haobam Marak Thingel, Ngangom Leikai on Wednesday.
The event organised by Theatre Mirror Imphal was attended by Dr Lamabam Gojendra, Manipur State Kala Akademi Awardee; Ningthoujam Tarunbala Devi, Principal, Sheidamkol Imphal and Ningthouja Lancha, renowned film director & social activist as presidium members.
At the event, the gathering recalled the numerous contributions made by Padmashri Wareppa Naba towards the promotion of theatre and other art forms in the State.
