Imphal, June 09: One SP capsule abuser who reportedly attempted to snatch ear rings from a woman has been pulled up by activists of All Manipur Anti-Drug Association ( AMADA) along with nine strips of SP capsules this morning.

Speaking to reporters today at AMADA head office here, secretary general of AMADA Thongju Pechu Lampak Local Council Phandom Inao Leima said that Longjam Ibomcha (27) of Thongju Pheija Leitong attempted to snatch ear rings from Thokchom Kamala (29) of Thongju Pechu Lampak.

After reportedly purchasing SP capsules and N 10 tablets from one Rabi Begum of Kyamgei thong Wangma and consuming some of them, Ibomcha came back after which he attempted to snatch ear rings from Kamala who was then in bathroom.

As Kamala raised alarm, family members rushed in and overpowered the miscreant.

Later he was pulled up by AMADA activists, Inao Leima conveyed.

Ibomcha disclosed that he mortgaged his motorcycle at Rs 3000 and purchased SP capsules for Rs 250 from Rabi Begum.

Meanwhile, AMADA has asked Rabi Begum to give in to the organisation.

On the other hand, the drug abuser has been handed over to his family members after counselling in line with the practice of AMADA.
