Pambei-led UNLF, AT strike accord

Imphal, May 02 2024: The Pambei-led UNLF and the Arambai Tenggol have come to an understanding to avoid confrontations and altercations between members of the two groups.

Recently, there were instances of confrontations and altercations between members of the Pambei-led UNLF's MPA and the AT, although these conflicts or confrontations had nothing to do with the policies of the two groups, said a joint statement issued by Pambei-led UNLF's media coordinator Charairongba Thokchom and Arambai Tenggol Ghqs PRO Robin Mangang.

It appealed to members of both the groups to avoid confrontations in the future.

Moreover, the two groups have set up a joint working committee and opened a hotline to resolve conflicts and misunderstandings instantaneously, in case such incidents break out in the future.

The two groups have also agreed to work together to safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur and protect people's lives and properties, it added.
