Imphal, July 05 2023: In view of the State's restive situation, internet ban in Manipur has been extended by another five days (till 3 pm of July 10) .

The Commissioner (Home) issued an order to this effect this afternoon.

The ban has been extended to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order and keeping the incidents of violence in mind, the Commissioner said.

Internet ban has been imposed since the evening of May 3 when the ethnic clash started.

Curfew relaxation : Curfew imposed in Imphal East and Imphal West has been relaxed from 5 am to 6 pm tomorrow.

On the other hand, there will be relaxation of curfew from 5 to 5 pm in Thoubal and Bishnupur.
