Skill training on banana products begins

Churachandpur, September 29 2023: A banana-based skill and product development training programme for relief centre inmates organised with the support of National Agriculture Bank for Rural Development (NABARD) was launched by Churachandpur district's additional deputy commissioner Rhaikhopau Ngaihte at Don Bosco Relief Centre on Friday.

The programme, organised by Rhankho Lawm Skilled Centre, also saw Paubiakmang Ngaihte, DDM NABARD, Lamminlal Simte, SDO Churachandpur, and officials of the Rhan Rho Lawm Skilled Centre in attendance.

In all, 30 internally displaced persons joined the training programme, which will run for 14 days.

During the training, knowledge on banana stem cutting, extraction fibre and combing, among others, will be imparted to the participants.
