Imphal, September 29 2023:
Apart from demanding severest punishment to culprits involved in the killing of students, Linthoingambi and Hemanjit, Shiv Sena Manipur president N Tombi has said that all the seven BJP MLAs belonging to Kuki community, who are demanding separate state, must be expelled from the party.
Condemning the killing of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit allegedly by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists in captivity, Tombi said that both the state and Centre must coordinate to nab the culprits and punish them as per law of the land or else people's anger might cross the limit of tolerance and anything could happen.
When the video of two naked women paraded in public emerged on social media, the Prime Minister, the chief minister and the Governor expressed their condemnation with the Governor even meeting the victims and providing compensation.
However, not a single MLA visited Linthoingambi's family though she was gang-raped by the militants before killing her brutally, Tombi claimed quoting family sources.
While urging BJP to expel the seven Kuki MLAs who are demanding a separate state, M Tombi warned that Shiv Sena might launch agitation in coordination with the people if the Kuki MLAs are not expelled at the earliest.
