UG groups asked to shun violence

Imphal, September 29 2023: Saddened by the recent multiple incidents of gunfights between ZUF and NSCN (IM) in their area which resulted in the death of two cadres each of NSCN (IM) and ZUF, Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has appealed to all the UG groups to shun violence and come together on the negotiating table to bring solution acceptable to both parties.

In a release, the union stated that it stands for peace and solidarity of all the Naga political groups in Zeliangrong inhabited areas in Assam, Manipur & Nagaland and does not endorse any form of bloodshed whether it is due to ideological difference or domination strategy.

If such kind of senseless killings continue then the union along with civil societies might resort to unpleasant step/action against the warring groups to prevent further killings, the release cautioned, while praying for peace in Zeliangrong area.
