Imphal, September 29 2023: The Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) asserts that it stands for peace and solidarity of all the Naga political groups in the Zeliangrong inhabited areas in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.

The Zeliangrong Union (AMN) Secretary in a press release declared that it does not welcome any form of killing and bloodshed among the Naga brothers and calls for a peaceful atmosphere in Zeliangrong areas.

The Union expressed dismay over the recent gun fights between ZUF and NSCN (IM) which led to the killing of two cadres each of ZUF and NSCN (IM) .

If this kind of senseless killing continues, then the Union along with all the civil society organisations will be compelled to take up unpleasant steps against the warring groups to avoid further killings.

In view of the prevailing tense situation, the Zeliangrong Union (AMN) appealed to all the groups concerned to shun violence and come together on the negotiable table for an amicable solution.
