86 Bn CRPF organises inter village football tournament at Kanglatongbi

An inter village football tournament organized by 86 Bn CRPF has kick started at Kanglatongbi football ground today.
The tournament inaugurated by Commandant 86 Bn CRPF Kalyan Singha in the presence of village Pradhan Meena Bisht, KGYA (Kanglatongbi Gorkha Youth Association) president, Kumar Basnet and secretary Deewn Chhettri is organized as a part of its Civic Action Programme under the aegis of Sh Rajesh Kumar, IPS IGP M&N Sector CRPF and supervision of Sh Kalyan Singha, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF.
Altogether 6 teams of Kanglatongbi namely GNYS Mandir, SYU Shantipur, GJYC Hathikhuwa, RYC Tispari, VYA Vijaynagar and CGYC AR Colony are taking part in the tournament.
The opening match played between GCYS Mandir and SYU Shantipur concluded in 1-1 draw.
Speaking at the event, Kalyan Singha expressed hope that the tournament will unite the villagers in one platform and also promote sportsmanship among the youth.
He added that the final match of the tournament will be played on February 2.Winner and runners-up will be awarded by trophy and cups along with sports items like football jersey, short, football net and football among others, he said and extended best wishes to all participant teams, said a statement of Comdt 86 Bn .
