Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament KSC register narrow 10 run victory to meet CYCLONE in final

KSC, Old Lambulane got better off YWC, Langthabal by 10 runs in a crucial semi-final clash and cruised to the final of the 6th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2017-18 at Model Higher Secondary School and Oriental College ground today.
KSC elected to bat first and posted a total of 127 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
KSC batsmen Stanley made an impressive 41 runs off 42 balls.
Muanpi accompanied him scoring 27 runs in 35 balls to keep the scoreboard rolling.
Lalboi added another 22 runs off 8 balls while Gagan struck 14 runs of 13 balls in the run up to give KSC a decent target.
Samananda of YWC dismissed 2 wickets in 4 overs in this innings while Gojendro took 1 wicket in 4 overs.
The chase turned out to be a tough one for YWC but it was Kumarjit, who gave much-needed momentum for a while scoring 32 runs off 29 balls in the beginning .
But the following batsmen failed to stick to the crease as KSC bowlers took wickets at regular intervals and never allowed WYC batsmen to settle down.
Shashi Kumar's 19 runs in 20 balls and Gojendro's 15 runs of 19 balls failed to support Kumarjit thus WYC slumped at paltry 117 runs in 19.2 overs.
KSC bowlers Angu, Lelen and Lulum enjoyed 3 wicket hauls to hand KSC a slender 10 run victory and a place in the final .
Lulum of KSC was awarded man of the match for his 3 wickets haul in 3.2 overs.
The final match between CYCLONE and KSC will be played on March 26 at the same ground.
