MNCA officials head to Chennai

Imphal, January 12 2021:
Four officials of the Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) have left Imphal for Chennai today on receiving invitation from Tamil Nadu Cricket Association which is hosting plate group matches of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Cricket Tournament.
MNCA officials who left Manipur include vice president, L Binoy Singh; joint secretary, K Bobin Singh and selectors, RK Ramananda and I Ibobi.
Their presence is expected to further boost the morale of the State's support staff and players who will be facing Chandigarh tomorrow (January 13) in their second match after having sealed a comprehensive 6 wicket win against Meghalaya in its opening match yesterday.
Through this visit, the officials are also expected to acquire knowledge on further developing the game in the State by setting up the association's own academy and lobby concerned officials for bringing up a National Cricket Academy for the North-East region.
