ZTFC advances in CC Meet qualifier

ZTFC, Chandel today beat AMOFA, Moirang and advanced into the next round of the 56th CC Meet Qualifying Round organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) being held at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The match began with high notes among the players of both teams.
As a result the match ended in a draw with the scoreline at 4-4.However, in the penalty shoot out, ZTFC scored four goals and won the match while AMOFA lost after scoring only three goals.
Saveson of AMOFA drew the first blood in the 10th minute of the match.
Short of one goal, ZTFC tried their best to equalise the score but could not do so in the first half the the first half ended 1-0 in favour of AMOFA.
However in the second half, Js Alower Anal of ZTFC equalised the score in the 48th minute of the match.
A minute later, Salemthang added another goal for ZTFC.
After 10 minutes, PR Lungam of ZTFC scored one goal against AMOFA in the 59th minute of the match and extended the lead to two goals.
On the other hand, AMOFA players who once ruled the first half were experiencing a pressure as their rival keep on scoring goal over goal.
However they did not loose their hearts and keep on looking for chances to sneak behind the defence line of ZTFC to square back the game.
As a result, Md Abdul Razak of AMOFA scored one goal against ZTFC in the 81st minute of the match.
He was followed by Saveson and Somananda who scored one goal each in the 85th and 87th minutes of the match respectively and reclaimed the lead.
However, ZTFC players were not among the ones who lost their heart and give up to destiny.
Even though they were running out of time and the time itself was against them, they kept on trying for chances to square back.
As a result, they scored the equaliser in the 90+1 minute of the match and it was scored by Salemthang.
With the equaliser, the match ended in a 4-4 draw.
In the penalty shoot out, Mk Kanthanglyn, Salemthang, Y Yuchung and Mk Angam Chothe scored the goals of ZTFC while the three goals of AMOFA were scored by K Neeraj, Sony and Md Abdul Razak.
