CLP chalks out plan for Rahul Gandhi's visit

Imphal, December 06 2012:
A meeting of Congress Legislative Party (CLP) was convened today at the conference hall of Chief Minister's Secretariat wherein plans were chalked out for the arrival of Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) to Imphal on December 10 .
The meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh discussed in details over measures to be taken up including security arrangement to be made prior to Rahul's visit to the State.
The meeting also decided to make the visit a fruitful one and make all arrangements beforehand for smooth conduct of all programmes.
Accordingly, several committees would be formed for making necessary arrangrments.
Rahul would be landing at Imphal in a special chopper from Guwahati in the morning of December 10.Soon after arrival, Rahul,, who would be accompanied by Luizinho Faleiro, North East in-charge, AICC, would interact with state Congress leaders at the Congress Bhawan.
Later, he would address a public meeting at Hafta Kangjeibung.
The meeting would be attended by Congress members from every constituency.
Later in the afternoon of the same day, Rahul would leave for Delhi.
During his brief stay at Imphal, Rahul Gandhi would also be meeting the newly elected Pradhans and Panchayat members during which he is expected to discussing issues related to devolution of powers to Panchayat among others.
