UTA reign continues

Union Taekwondo Academy (UTA), Keishamthong maintained its domination in the Governor's Taekwondo Cup Manipur winning the overall team championship title for the ninth consecutive editions.
The 9th edition of the championship concluded today at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium with the Keishamthong academy reigning supreme yet again with a total of 417 points from its haul of 17 gold, 19 silver and 25 bronze medals.
Last edition's runners-up side National Sports Academy retained the position on 16 gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals (324 points) while SAI RC secured the third position with 15 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze medals (303) .
The championship organised by All Manipur Taekwondo Association since April 25 was participated by 15 affiliated units.
The closing ceremony today was held with BJP (Youth) Manipur president Oinam Malesh Singh, AMTA president Y Khemchand and Manipur Olympic Association vice president A Jiten Singh as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
