Rajaimei Youth Sports meet begins

Kicking off the Raj aimei Youth & Student's Sports Meet 2020 as the chief guest, Rangpung John, ADC Member representing 10-Willong DCC has appealed to youth to stay away from anti social activities and be instrumental in development of the State.
The four days sports meet was inaugurated in the presence of Willong Circle village leaders, Church leaders, local youth & women organizations.
In all, ten teams will vie for top honours respectively in football and volleyball events of the sports meet.
Rangpung John in his speech, called for peace, unity & development through active participation of youths in games and sports.
"Rajaimei village development will come when we forge unity and welcome peace among villagers," he said while assuring to upgrade the present mini Rajaimei village ground into a full standard ground so that bigger events can be organised in the future.
A friendly match between the Willong circle village authority leaders and Rajaimei village veterans was played where the Rajaimei Veterans won by 3-1 margin.
Invocation by Catechist Ngatuba Philip; dance by little shining star; presidential address by youth president, Benjamin Kangba; folk songs by elders, song by Women society, benediction by Rangba Francis; vote of thanks by S Felix and oath taking by Agem Abraham were the highlights of the inaugural function of the sports meet.
Village chairman, R Rouba on the occasion acknowledged the development of the playfields and appealed for better sports facilities in the village.
