ICHAM felicitates SLF champion Kario

Kario IsAac, the state lad from Senapati who swept the champion's title of the first season of India's one and only mixed martial arts competition, Super Fight League (SFL) and won Rs 45 lakh cash prize was felicitated by Information Centre for Hill Areas (ICHAM) at Eco Park, Luwangsangbam on Saturday.
Mention may be made that Isaac Kario won the first season of the first mixed martial arts reality show which was participated by eight male and eight female fighters from different parts of India.
Born to late Loli Ashiiko fromKarong under Senapati district, Kario is a B Com graduate.
He used to be an employee of Jet Airways before he quit his job to participate in the competition.

After rigourous training for wo years, Kario participated in the competition and won the champion's title.
Thang Ta player Salam Rojita of North Imphal Cultural Organisation who won gold medal in the 19th National Thang-Ta Championships held in Jammu and Kashmir was felicitated during the function.
MLA MK Shimray who graced the function as Chief Guest said that sports is the only way for a person to stay away from intoxicants and bad habits.
Due to the huge success of the players of the state, Manipur today has earned a special place in the country as well as in the international arena.
Around five thousand budding players from the state are training in different types of sports at present.
However, the demand for good sportspersons from the state is so huge that today, India is demanding more than 50,000 sportspersons from the state to bring fames and laurels to the country in different international competitions.
ICHAM President, Rajendro in his presidential speech expressed his pleasure to Kario on his achievement in the one and only mixed martial arts competition of India in its first season.
He further expressed his belief that the hill areas of the state can produce good sportspersons if they are provided standard facilities of sports by the government.
Pradhan, Luwangshangbam Gram panchayat, Sanabam Kosheshwar and Presidentr of NIDSU Ngairangbam Opendro also atended the function as Guests of Honour.
